About Us

Healthcare South is an association of physicians practicing in private offices in the South Shore Hospital area that over a number of years have established a history of providing excellent service and quality medical care.

The physicians in the group envisioned using their integration into a larger entity as a way to continue to provide this same quality and service and at the same time, retain control over their practices and the manner that quality and service is provided.

The group came together in the winter of 1996 to form a group without "walls" in order to more effectively provide patient care in a manner that was consistent with the mandates of managed care. The group is comprised of pediatricians, family practitioners, and nurse practitioners in addition to other medical and administrative staff. The practice sites work together to provide an extensive coverage system for not only the standard "office hours" but also weekends and nights.

The corporate office is currently in Pembroke. The corporate office is the central location for billing and collections, accounting, payroll and human resources. All practice sites have these common goals:

• Standardized internal procedures which facilitate cross training and team work.
• To become the premier primary care network in the South Shore area.
• Continuing the vision of providing high quality medical care reflective of the high standards of service and quality that developed over time in each group practice.
