Predicted
Average Peak Expiratory Flow (liters per minute)
These
tables should only be used as rough guidelines for the diagnosis of
asthma. The National Asthma Education Program recommends that a patient's
own maximum peak flow rate be used as a baseline reading. This measurement
should only be made when one's asthma is considered to be under control.
