  Environmental Protection Agency
Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA'S) Indoor Environments Division has launched a national public educaiton and prevention program in response to the asthma epidemic in the United States. The goal of the outreach program is to raise public awareness of indoor invironmental asthma triggers (eg, secondhand smoke, dust mites, mold, pet dander, and cockroaches) and actions that can be taken to reduce children's wxposure to them in homes, schools, and child care settings. The EPA is working to insure that environmental management is fully incorporated into all asthma education and disease management programs.
