Dr. Mitterando practices the full spectrum of family medicine including OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Adult Medicine. He also has interests in Sports Medicine and Travel Medicine. He is affiliated with South Shore Hospital. He performs minor surgery at the office including skin biopsy and excision, flexible sigmoidoscopy for colon cancer screening, vasectomy, colposcopy and endometrial biopsy.
Personal:
Dr. Mitterando writes the "Ask the Doctor" column for the Patriot Ledger appearing every other Tuesday. His wife, Julie, is an emergency medicine physician. They have 2 children- Elizabeth and David. He is an avid bicycle racer as well as a runner. He has volunteered his medical services in Africa, India and Aboriginal Australia and enjoys traveling.
