Apple
Crisp

This is a quickly readied and very satifying dessert. Serve with
a pouring of light cream, a spoonful of vanilla ice cream - or plain.

6 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup of light brown sugar
1 cup of flour

1/2 cup of margarine, softened
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
| Put sliced apples into baking dish; sprinkle with lemon
juice. In a bowl thoroughtly combine sugar, flour, margarine, and
spices. Sprinkle over apples, pressing down lightly. Bake at 350 degrees
for 35 to 40 minutes, until apples are soft and topping is lightly
crisp. Makes 4 to 6 servings. |
