For Saturday supper it is suggested you start on Thursday
evening.
2 lbs navy beans
4 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons sugar
2/3 cup molasses
2 teaspoon dry mustard
4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 whole onioin
1 lb salt pork
Cover beans with cold water and soak overnight. Change
water and bring to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes. Drain. Peel onion
and plance in bottom of bean pot. Put in drained beans. Mix remaining
ingredients together with enough water to just cover beans. Bake in
very slow over at 225 degrees for 12 - 20 hours.
