Blueberry
Streusel
|
A light and tasty dessert that can be dressed up with
a spoonful of vanilla ice cream.

1 quart blueberries
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch |
2/3 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
1/2 cup flour
1/3 cup margarine or butter |
Put berries into an ungreased 1 1/2 quart casserole; sprinkle with
the lemon juice. Combine 1/2 cup of the brown sugar with the cornstarch;
stir carefully into blueberries. Mix oats, flour, and remaining sugar,
then cut in margarine or butter until well mixed. Sprinkle over berries.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes, until top is golden brown.
Serve warm. Makes 4 to 6 servings. |
