Welcome to South Shore Pediatric Associates

November 19, 2009

We currently have H1N1 for under 3 years of age and both seasonal injectable and mist for over 3 years of age. Please call the office for an appointment. And thank you again for your patience during this difficult flu season.

Please DO NOT CALL OUR OFFICE with questions regarding deliveries or with routine flu vaccine questions. ALL DOCTORS ARE RECOMMENDING BOTH SEASONAL AND H1N1 VACCINES AS SOON AS WE HAVE THE SUPPLY. Again, please call the states dedicated line to discuss your vaccine concerns by dialing 211.

We appreciate and share your concerns. Please let us take care of our patients who are currently sick and need assistance.

We have received word from the State that they are projecting having the majority of the vaccines shipping by early November. However, we cannot count on it until it’s delivered to our office. When we do receive it, we are committed to doing everything we can to get it to you as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The staff is working very hard to accommodate the demand, but they have been overwhelmed with phone calls. Our phone lines have been tied up with these calls preventing parents with sick children from being able to get through. Again, please utilize this website for updates on deliveries. We appreciate your patience during this frustrating time for all of us.

If you have specific question regarding the vaccines, the State has provided a hot line to answer ALLflu-related questions. These phone lines are answered by experts in this area. Dial 211 for assistance.

ALL PHYSICIANS AT SOUTH SHORE PEDIATRICS ARE RECOMMENDING BOTH VACCINES.

***VERY IMPORTANT: YOU MUST BE 2 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AND CANNOT HAVE ANY HISTORY OF ASTHMA, WHEEZING, OR EGG ALLERGY TO RECEIVE THE MIST***
If you received the seasonal flu mist, you must wait 30 days before receiving the H1N1 flu mist.
